Textpattern is much different than MovableType. It took a while to get the hang of it all, but now I feel comfy with Textpattern, or Txp as it is affectionately referred. Pronounced TIXSP. Actually I have no idea. This was the default entry when I installed Textpattern and I’m just keeping it here so if I need an entry to test something out on, it’s here.

Textpattern likes to take care of everything, which I think is worth learning to like. MovableType is very hands-on and while I’m used to that level of control I think that Textpattern will allow me to get to the point a bit quicker and spend less time fidgeting with mundane archaic templates.

Either way, we shall find out. Right?

  4. What I’d really like to know is how a comment looks when it’s longer. In fact, this text area is rather small, making me want to limit my commentary to just a sentence or two, but really, I ought to allow one to really let loose and pour out paragraph after paragraph. Then again, most comments are either hurtful or ignorant, so maybe shorter is better.
